The KATRIN Collaboration

Code of Conduct

Members of the KATRIN collaboration are expected to abide by laboratory safety protocols, and to conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all colleagues and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. As the success of the KATRIN experimental effort and the scientific reputations of all KATRIN Collaborators rely on the integrity of the published and presented results, it is imperative that all members of the Collaboration perform their research in a manner consistent with standards of ethical scientific research. To this end, members of the Collaboration agree to adhere to the American Physical Society’s APS Guidelines for Professional Conduct, and the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. Violations of these guidelines of professional conduct by any member of the Collaboration should be brought to the attention of any member of the EB and CB (including the young scientists representatives) so that potential impacts to the Collaborations research may be evaluated and to ensure no retribution is enacted upon the reporter.
